ABOUT...

Glasgow Thai Boxing Academy, Muay Thai Boxing club based in Glasgows' westend.

The club was originally founded in 2002 rising out of the ashes of the now redundant Strikeforce Gym. The aim of the Academy is to make Thai Boxing as accessible as possible for as many people as possible.

We make no secret of the fact that we are in essence a community-based club for the local community but that doesn't stop us from attracting students from not only all over Glasgow but also countrys such as; Italy, Poland and Australia amongst others.

We welcome students from other martial arts and currently have students of Karate, Kick Boxing Tae Kwon Do, MMA and Ju-Jitsu training with us.

Although we run the club as fighters club we equally welcome students who have neither intention nor desire to compete.

We are a modern, forward, looking Martial Arts club that respects the history, traditions, and Ethics of Muay Thai and the Martial Spirit.

We recommend bringing along a small plastic (please) bottle of water. All other necessary equipment is supplied by the club.

We do not enforce a uniform policy although we do sell club t-shirts, hoodies, etc, but are welcome to wear whatever feels comfortable (within reason, no mankinis please).

The club is open to all levels and we welcome novice martial artists and experienced ring fighters alike.

We train all students as if they are fighting although the decision is left entirely to you. All that we ask is that you make that decision when you are ready to compete that way the decision is based on what you can do rather than what you think you can’t do.

If you want any further information all the details are in the contacts page, feel free to get in touch.
